Pen pals

Raccoon9sm I've got some exciting news: I've exchanged snail-mail letters with 26, and it appears this is the start of some interesting correspondence.  I've written about this unique man several times on this blog, so I won't go into it here.  I'd like to share with you a few of his own words:

No more radio for me anymore.  I stopped paying attention to baseball seven years ago.  I stopped television in 2000 and finally, at the March equinox of 2004, I stopped my access to any and all information (news) from the outside world.  The last moving picture I saw was around 2 years ago.

I won't go into the mysticism or my daily discipline because it could only sound like self-promotion and it's too vast a subject for brevity.  But I became acquainted with a raccoon, a female and with patience, she began to trust me quite a bit.  In the late spring she brought her little ones to me for the first time and you know, I could've disintigrated or melted into the ground from the sheer power of this experience and the profound awe that they evoked in me.  I have an outdoor diner for the raccoons and because of a population explosion in 2005, I also opened an after hours club til dawn.

and

A journalist from LA took an airplane all the way out here (in spite of my discouragement) this week and had tidings of Jello Biafra.  So this journalist got me rolling into three straight days of self-absorbed diatriabes about the past etc,; gashed open my poor memories and emotions and never asked me one question about the 26 album.  So anyways, I've been primed to remember your pilgrimages to my weird store.
